meet the founder

Hello! I’m Ashley, creator of this unique linen rental company in Kansas City. Contrary to popular belief, I’m not a designer...at least not the designer of these fun linen prints, but I have been designing events, corporate meetings, conventions, and fundraising events for the last 12 years. I like to think of myself as a “dot connector” - tell me the big picture vision and I’ll put the pieces together into something special.

I created Citrus & Sage Co. with this same theory in mind. Being in the event industry, I saw a chance to add some fun and flavor to this niche of the rental world in Kansas City. However, these aren’t your average rental linens. I’ve sourced a luxurious fabric - known for its softness, durability, and wrinkle-resistance - and work directly with independent artists to find the unique designs you see in all C&S linens. From there, I partner with Rightfully Sewn, a KC based nonprofit that provides seamstress training for at-risk women so they can thrive in a specialized workforce, to produce and sew all of my linens in the Crossroads Arts District of Kansas City, Missouri.

I know the challenges and stresses that come with planning events; and while I want to provide my clients some variety in selection when it comes to linen rental, I also want to ensure a I provide a quality product, a sustainable process, and an easy ordering experience so we can all thrive in this ever-changing world of event planning.

Why the name?

Citrus adds a kick to the traditional: bright, refreshing, energizing and awakening – all the things you want for a best-in-class event.

Sage is calming, healing and balances out the bright citrus. By combining the two, Citrus + Sage Co. brings an energetic calm to your next event through bold, creative and modern design.
